Occupational Therapy focuses on teaching our clients to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) in a safe and efficient manner. The OT will teach you how to improve in:
- Grooming
- Dressing
- Bathing
- Cooking
- Laundry
- Household Chores
- Energy Conservation
- Wheelchair Mobility
Sometimes you will need some equipment to help you do these tasks. We call these items Adaptive Devices or Equipment. Some examples are:
- Reacher
- Long Handled Shoe Horn
- Leg Lifter
- Shower or Tub Seat
- Hand Held Shower Head
- Splints
