Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy focuses on teaching our clients to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) in a safe and efficient manner. The OT will teach you how to improve in:

  • Grooming
  • Dressing
  • Bathing
  • Cooking
  • Laundry
  • Household Chores
  • Energy Conservation
  • Wheelchair Mobility

Sometimes you will need some equipment to help you do these tasks. We call these items Adaptive Devices or Equipment. Some examples are:

  • Reacher
  • Long Handled Shoe Horn
  • Leg Lifter
  • Shower or Tub Seat
  • Hand Held Shower Head
  • Splints
